After our first MNRI conference in April 2024, I understood the need to work with an experienced MNRI professional even while we continue the Home Program given by Dr.Masgutova.There weren't any Core Specialists near Hyderabad,India and after many enquiries another parent kindly referred Hsiao.From my first conversation via call, Hsaio inspired great confidence in me.She not only is a very knowledgable and skilled MNRI therapist but has a unique vantage point into MNRI for Autism,Speech Apraxia, and other neuro-developmental challenges because of her successful work with many kids including her own daughter.
Once I reached out to Neural Connections with my request for MNRI therapy, I received high support for each stage from booking the dates,planning our journey and stay and of course the therapy sessions themselves.Even after the therapy was over, we were given some great recommendations by therapist Eileen for sightseeing in Singapore.We didn't even bother to look up or research anything on our own after seeing her exhaustive list.In fact it will take more visits to cover all the recommendations she shared :).Neural Connections really is a 360 degree stop for us.On the first day Hsiao made some food suggestions and my son ate just that for 7 consecutive days! Her intuition is so perfect.
All this will definitely help us to build on the conference input and adapt it better to our own home therapy input.I feel confidence now in my ability to follow the Home Program effectively.
For anyone confused or looking to explore MNRI from India,Neural Connections is an excellent option. Singapore is easy to access a great place to visit and working with Hsaio and her team will be definitely launch you into the next level of therapy.MNRI is a marathon ,it doesn't yeild results overnight and having a great therapist like Hsaio to guide,mentor and provide my child therapy is a real blessing.
For someone coming from India, the therapy and related costs can be substantial.However I found immense value in the sessions where Hsiao accounts literally for each minute of her therapy session.Even though my son was quite a handful and would keep running all over the place,Hsaio and her team would find some way to use the time we had either showing us how to get him back to the therapy, or teaching and practising the techniques with us.Within the therapy time of four days itself,I found my son getting more receptive, sleeping better and he even spoke a few words.Like Dr. M Hsiao too has a great work ethic, they understand parents' difficulties and are very Compassionate to the children too.This resulted in an immensely educative and useful therapy time for us.We were provided with various hacks to allow us to deliver the therapy appropriately as we don't have any MNRI training.These were not shortcuts but therapy techniques adjusted to be effectively delivered by untrained parents.In addition,Hsaio also carefully corrected my techniques and even identified which protocols suited my son better.
