FAQs

  • In our experience, this treatment works very well for a wide range of people.

Treatments at Neural Connections target challenges at the root, connecting brain and body through sensory and reflex integration. We specialise in the Masgutova Neurosensorimotor Reflex Integration (MNRI)® method. To read more about MNRI®, read our article or visit the Svetlana Masgutova Educational Institute website.

Through working directly with the body using movement, touch, and other techniques, MNRI® helps to integrate and repattern reflexes in the body that may not have fully developed or integrated for any number of reasons.

Treatment helps regulate the nervous system and foster an overall sense of emotional and physical well-being. Many parents report positive growth after a few sessions.

  • While we see mostly children at the centre, MNRI® is for everybody, and for all age groups. We advise making a Discovery Call today to discuss your concerns.

  • If you are a new client and have not been to any treatments at Neural Connections, please book a Discovery Call. This is a 20-minute complimentary phone call for us to have a conversation about your concerns about a loved one and determine the suitability of treatment for you or your child.

If you are an existing client, please book your session here.

  • If you are a new client, please book a Discovery Call.

If you would like to book your first consultation session after your Discovery Call, please book here.

If you are an existing client, please book your session here.

  • During the 50min appointment, we will spend approximately 30min for the child reflex and development assessment, and around 20min for a parent discussion.

You might want to bring something for your child to occupy themselves with (such as a book, colouring activity, toy, play doh, musical toy, etc) while we talk during the discussion portion.

There is no food allowed at the centre, so please ensure that your child has a light snack before the appointment.

  • The first session will be a mix of initial assessment and treatment and lasts for 50 minutes. We will spend around 30 mins for reflex and development assessment, and around 20 mins in discussion.

  • During treatment - there will be a mix of active movement (both on and off the table), as well as touch/body therapy on the table. Each session is tailored and customised to what the client needs on a particular day, which is why every session may look slightly different.

Each session lasts for 50 mins.

  • Yes, of course! In fact, we strongly encourage parents to be part of the treatment session as we believe in supporting families through this process. Parents are the first point of co-regulation for the child so parent involvement in the session is definitely encouraged.

  • We share some techniques and strategies with parents to practice at home with your child in between sessions. The brain loves repetition - so practising these protocols (depending on your capacity and availability) in between sessions will increase your child’s growth.

  • Most parents report a marked improvement - they usually sleep better and depending on the child. However, because the brain is neuroplastic and treatment results in some neural changes - behavioural changes may happen but this should be nothing to worry about.
